The Company is a strong application development company located in New York. The development efforts are in the advertising industry. Client does not wish to relocate anyone; they want someone reliable to head up the development effort and manage items of development that may be outsourced to another IT firm. So the chosen candidate needs to know their own capabilities, be able complete work as planned and outsource as necessary.

This individual will be responsible for managing and developing Rich Internet Applications (RIA), primarily using Adobe FLEX, implementing these applications in a .NET environment with SQL Server 2000 as the data platform. The position is responsible for translating design mock-ups and motion concepts into fully functional Flex applications utilizing common design patterns and object oriented methodologies.

As a leader of the project team, the position will be responsible for application analysis, design, coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining as well as upgrading existing applications. The position will work closely with senior management to ensure their vision is accurately represented in the final product.

Responsible for overseeing the development process

• Designing and developing Flex applications in a .NET environment using SQL Server and TSQL as the data platform
• Take design and motion concepts and effectively translate them into a working Flex architecture
• Communicate with senior management on production status
• Manage related development efforts of sub-contractors
• Develop architectures, scope documents, content guides or whatever else is required to organize and define the project
• Develop and manage budgets and schedules; complete projects on time and within budget
• Balance workloads among team members, delegating and coordinating as needed

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Flash and Flex development in a data environment
• 3+ years of ASP.Net experience and C# ASP.NET 2.0 preferred
• 3+ years of SQL Server skills/experience, including TSQL.
