Tens of thousands of people have installed the Yammer desktop application and you can help make it better. Over half of Yammer's posts come from the desktop application. As an ActionScript engineer at Yammer, you'll be directly involved in designing and implementing new features for the desktop application and ensuring its continued smooth operation.

Yammer is an early stage startup that responds quickly to our users' needs, and the desktop application is a critical piece of our service. You'll have the opportunity to play a strong role in the development of our platform and to learn from our team of engineers and product managers about creating a great product.

The desktop application uses the AIR runtime and is built on the PureMVC framework. If you're a Java programmer looking to learn ActionScript, or a junior programmer with a good foundation, we’ll help you step up to the next level.

What you'll do:

• Code and design the desktop application
• Listen to user feedback and implement compelling new features that will make the desktop app an important part of our users' work day.

What you'll need:

• Clean interface design
• Strong understanding of AS3
• Experience with PureMVC or another ActionScript framework
• Experience with AIR applications is a strong plus.
• Experience with RESTful services (and OAuth) is a plus
