FLEX/Actionscript Master
I am recruiting for an experience FLEX/Actionscript Developer for a direct-hire role in Silicon Valley -- Relocation assistance will be offered!
We are a small software consulting company with big customers. In addition to developing the back-end for almost two dozen Coca-Cola websites, we also developed the codes that Coke has used under their bottle caps for the last seven years. We recently developed a real-time auction bidding system for eBay (countdown.ebay.com), an enterprise power monitoring system for VMware and EDS, building automation software for SBC, and the proxy technology that MyPoints is based on.
We are actively looking for a Flash Engineer to round out our team.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Development of polished and diverse user experiences for platforms ranging from websites to custom desktop applications.
Duties will include juggling multiple projects with overlapping timelines and multiple deliverables, managing individual milestones while being able to flip between a vast range of client work and target audiences.
Working with other engineers to integrate front end UI with various technologies while documenting your own code to help the team grow its capabilities.
Working with other Engineers to compliment their Flash capabilities while increasing your knowledge of other technologies.
Required experience and competencies for this position are:
Good written and verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to interact with both engineering and business folks via email and conference calls as well as face to face.
Extensive Flash experience, with proficiency writing code code in ActionScript 3 and Flex.
An aptitude for developing strong application and Interactive UI design, with extensive UI development experience and a deep understanding of user experience best practices.
The ability to produce clean, well-structured, optimized and documented fla’s.
A strong desire to learn and being comfortable with the learning process. Our work ranges from embedded systems, to operating systems, to middleware, to web platforms, to gui applications. You should be excited to expand your space, not frightened by the unknown.
Experience working with both 3rd Party code libraries and Flash Components.
Proficiency with Adobe CS3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Basic knowledge of JavaScript.
Animated graphics (After Effects or Motion) is a strong plus.
