Game Producer / Project Manager

Responsibilities will include: • Help shape the direction of projects, creatively, technically and process-wise. • Evaluate, understand, and document project requirements for the team. • Coordinate collection and distribution of project deliverables. • Coordinate efforts across one or more projects. • Communicate with team members, including artists and programmers, to project development schedules, project status. • Communicate with clients. • Communicate with upper Management all schedules, budgets, and resource maps, and status updates. • Build and manage a small and flexible internal interactive software development team to tackle a variety of short-term and long-term projects and company goals. • Manage internal and external projects and partners within a defined budget and schedule in order to ensure their success. • Manage external developers and contractors based on contractual requirements in the creation of code, art, sound, or other assets. • Establish and maintain project procedures, facilitate status meetings, produce status reports and distribute project documentation and schedules. • Identify and resolve conflicts between schedule, budget and design goals. • Proactively track and maintain the master development schedule daily, identifying and fixing interdependencies early before they become problematic. • Proactively identify risks associated with meeting project milestones; ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties which may impede progress or compromise achievement of projects objectives. • Foster positive working relationship and teamwork within the development teams with an emphasis on communication. Drive communication among all team members. • Perform as liaison between upper Management and project staff as required. • Work directly with upper Management on the inner workings of projects and processes.

A Producer with experience in Flash-based development (of any kind) is a plus. We are interested in candidates with experience in any interactive software development production and project / team management.

Qualifications and skills: • CANDIDATES MUST HAVE FAMILIARITY WITH THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES: o Internet Software Product Development (HTML, XML, CSS, PHP, ASP, JavaScript, Flash) o Internet and software application development and project management experience and related management experience. o Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline is preferred but not required if candidate has proven experience. o Prior experience writing software functional specifications. • Personal characteristics: Self-directed, detail-oriented problem-solver. • Ability to create, track and maintain comprehensive and complex project schedules. • Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team/department performance. • Skilled at distributing information and maintaining communication among many groups. • Must be able to work easily across disciplines and divisions. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of business and technology trends and strong interpersonal/relationship management skills. • Familiarity with Mobile technologies a plus.
