Duties

Lead user experience design efforts for web-based, customer-facing application with the goal of creating a streamlined user-interface supporting application features and functionality.

The User Experience Specialist will be responsible for working directly with customers to gather and translate the voice of the customer and quantify the value of their needs across all users. Must be able to work with other departments to research, organize, analyze and design key features and functionality for the leading eMarketing application. You will gather user requirements, design and test the user experience and prepare the documentation for the development process. Deliverables include quantitative analysis, sketches, conceptual, detailed user interaction specifications and usability evaluations.

Must have a keen eye for detail and be able to clearly communicate design requirements in business terms as well as technical terms. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years experience designing high-quality, web-based products. • Must have a keen eye for detail • Must be able to interview customers, quantify customer needs and define priorities • Must work well with a team and have strong communication skills • Strong analytical ability and skills of abstraction • Experience with user interface prototyping tools like Axure and Fireworks. • Experience with print and web design is a plus. • A BA/BS or greater degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Psychology, Human Factors, or equivalent is preferred. • A user experience portfolio showing: strong creative and problem solving skills and examples of design direction, creative process, research strategy, or equivalent user experience accomplishment.
